Software Engineer, Information Security Engineering

About the role

Google is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Information Security Engineering team in Singapore. You will design, build, and implement agentic tooling that automates security processes, analyses risks, detects vulnerabilities, and helps developer teams embed security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with information security engineers to create new tools for product security consulting, response, and research, especially around AI agents.
• Steer the strategic development of agents and infrastructure that automate vulnerability handling, triage, and remediation.
• Design and implement systems that scale security operations, analyze risks, and proactively assist development teams.
• Enable rapid response to vulnerability reports and ensure timely remediation across Google’s products.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• At least 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
• Experience programming in Go.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related field, 3+ years with data structures and algorithms, experience in Python, background in artificial intelligence, and ability to perform security assessments.
