Software Engineer

About the role

Join Tower Research Capital as a Software Engineer within the Business Support team. You will help build and maintain the internal platforms that power the firm’s quantitative trading operations, working in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic projects that automate Tower’s production environment.
• Design and develop innovative applications that improve existing processes.
• Maintain and enhance a wide range of internal systems and tools.
• Create and evolve in‑house tools while supporting an agile framework for rapidly changing requirements.
• Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Build software for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing large data sets.
• Identify and implement technology solutions for trading infrastructure management challenges.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Relevant experience designing and improving information systems.
• Strong knowledge of the full web programming stack; Python required, Golang a plus.
• Experience building scalable web services and familiarity with monitoring or alerting tools.
• Exposure to front‑end frameworks (VueJS, ReactJS, AngularJS) and client‑side JavaScript/HTML is a plus.
• Experience with distributed systems is a plus.
• Proficient Linux skills and shell‑script knowledge.
• Excellent English communication for business purposes.
