Software Engineer (KDB+/Q) – Up to 300k SGD + Bonus

About the role

Join a globally respected hedge fund as a KDB+/Q Software Engineer, building next‑generation research and analytics platforms that power real‑time trading across international markets. You will work at the intersection of data, technology and trading, engineering high‑performance, low‑latency systems that directly influence decision‑making and execution. This hands‑on role offers high impact and close collaboration with Quant Research, Trading and Portfolio Management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build and optimise high‑performance KDB+/q systems for real‑time market data.
• Design scalable, low‑latency infrastructure supporting analytics and trading workflows.
• Maintain and monitor production systems to ensure high availability and performance.
• Implement automated testing and CI pipelines for KDB+/q code.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers, traders and portfolio managers to deliver production‑grade solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related STEM discipline.
• At least 1 year of professional experience working with KDB+/q, preferably in a trading or real‑time data environment.
• Understanding of market‑data feeds, electronic trading and low‑latency system design.
• Demonstrated ability to work in cross‑functional teams and deliver robust software under tight latency constraints.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
