Software Engineer – Payment Network (Global Payment)

About the role

ByteDance is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Global Payment team in Singapore. You will help build and maintain a secure, scalable overseas payment solution that powers transactions across ByteDance platforms such as TikTok.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑quality software architecture for payment services.
• Prioritise and execute tasks throughout the software development life‑cycle.
• Write clean, efficient code in Java, Go, C++, C# or Python.
• Automate repetitive tasks using appropriate tools and scripting.
• Review, debug, and perform validation and verification testing.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to improve product reliability.
• Document development phases and monitor system performance.
• Keep software up‑to‑date with the latest technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of software development experience in a large‑scale internet business.
• Strong analytical thinking and exceptional attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Java, Go, C++, C#, Python.
• Experience with backend server development.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases.
