Software Engineer - Python

About the role

As a Python Engineer at Hudson River Trading, you will work on high‑impact, distributed compute systems that power one of the world’s leading algorithmic trading firms. You will collaborate with researchers and engineers to build tools, improve infrastructure, and streamline the entire trade cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software used across all offices and departments.
• Improve job orchestration and scheduling in a large compute cluster.
• Build Python tooling and environments for internal developers.
• Deploy, automate, and monitor systems for global trade management and post‑trade analysis.
• Create hardware verification tools and support data ETL pipelines covering market data, image, and text processing.
