About the role
Capgemini is looking for a hands‑on Software Engineer to develop production‑scale dashboards and services. You will primarily work on the frontend using React and TypeScript, while also contributing to Node.js backend APIs and AWS‑based infrastructure. The role involves technical planning, implementation excellence, and occasional end‑to‑end feature ownership.
Key responsibilities
- Build and enhance web editor and user interfaces with TypeScript and React.js.
- Develop backend APIs, services and internal tools using TypeScript (Node.js).
- Collaborate with the Tech Lead to execute platform plans and technical direction.
- Own features from design through testing, deployment and maintenance.
- Participate in code reviews, system discussions and enforce engineering best practices.
- Ensure product performance, scalability and reliability at scale.
- Contribute to AWS deployment workflows, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure improvements.
- Produce clear documentation for systems, features and operational procedures.
- Occasionally lead and drive feature development independently.
Required profile
- Strong experience with React and TypeScript for production dashboards.
- Solid backend development experience using Node.js (TypeScript).
- Practical experience building with LLMs or generative AI, including prompt design and handling non‑deterministic output.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS deployments and cloud‑native architecture.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, environments and infrastructure as code.
- Understanding of scalable architecture, performance optimisation and secure coding practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams (PM, QA, DevOps, Data).
- Comfortable working in both new and legacy codebases and learning quickly.
