Software Engineer – Tools Development

About the role

Thales is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Software and Product Engineering Tools Development team in Singapore. You will design, develop and validate tools used by technical consultants, developers and internal users, contributing to critical aerospace, defence and cybersecurity solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners and Solution Architects to translate requirements into robust, maintainable software.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies – planning, sprint reviews, demos and retrospectives.
• Ensure product quality through verification, validation and unit testing.
• Produce end‑user guides and technical documentation.
• Provide Level 3 support for the applications you build.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering.
• Proven experience in software development, preferably with Java and Python.
• Hands‑on experience in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
• Familiarity with validation practices and testing tools such as Robot Framework.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps concepts.
