Software Specialist (Engineer) – Lottery Application

About the role

We are seeking a Software Specialist (Engineer) to design, develop, and maintain the lottery application that powers Singapore Pools’ betting platform. The position covers the complete software development life‑cycle, from gathering business requirements to post‑implementation support, ensuring the solution is reliable, secure, and performant.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in planning, requirements analysis, solution design, coding, testing, deployment and post‑implementation support.
• Develop new code or reuse existing components to deliver enhancements and new business solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, code changes and implementation procedures.
• Conduct unit testing, system integration testing and support user acceptance testing.
• Monitor application events, manage incidents and problems, and restore services promptly.
• Identify and evaluate new software technologies that meet specialized business needs.

Required profile

• Professional experience in end‑to‑end software development for business‑critical applications.
• Strong analytical skills to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and technology partners.
