Solutions Reliability Engineer III

About the role

Capital Group is hiring a Solutions Reliability Engineer III. The engineer influences Solutions Engineering teams to continuously improve the operating environment and works with Application Services, product teams and business stakeholders to deliver operational excellence solutions, including using AI and intelligent automation to improve reliability and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and support monitoring, observability, automation and AI-assisted operational solutions, including technologies such as Datadog, Splunk, machine learning models and agentic systems.
• Develop automation and intelligent workflows that optimise operational efficiency and accelerate issue resolution.
• Coordinate delivery of complex integration test environments for major business initiatives and analyse outcomes to reduce defects.
• Develop workarounds, self-service capabilities, knowledge assets and AI-enabled operational procedures for activities not yet fully automated.
• Maintain knowledge across reliability engineering, cloud technologies, observability, AI and agentic practices, and coach less experienced Service Reliability Engineers.
• Facilitate Problem Management, analyse production incidents after resolution and help prevent recurrence.
• Respond to complex and major production incidents, help restore service, escalate complex problems and support Incident and Resolving Managers.
• Gather and analyse operational metrics, telemetry and service data to predict issues and recommend improvements.
• Apply ITIL processes such as Change, Configuration and Release Management, and use continuous improvement methods to reduce operational toil.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of core Capital Group technologies, applications, business cycles and capabilities.
• Ability to assess the impact of technology events on the business and other support areas.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
