Sourcing Engineer

About the role

Rockwell Automation is hiring a Sourcing Engineer in Singapore to support and implement its Strategic Sourcing strategy. The role works with local, regional and global supply chain projects to deliver year-on-year improvement, reports to the Strategic Sourcing Manager and works hybrid in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up commercial contract drafting for cost reduction projects, lead negotiations for contracts and pricing, and run monthly business reviews with suppliers
• Monitor supplier delivery performance, solve component shortage problems and coordinate finished goods delivery with buyers
• Drive value analysis/value engineering projects, analyse partner spend and manage RFQ packages with R&D and engineering teams
• Track ECNs, SCNs and TGDs and review implementation against purchase orders to track savings
• Monitor supplier risks such as production capacity, financial stability and compliance, including tool renewal and last-time buys for end-of-life products
• Work with the supplier quality engineer to resolve quality issues and recover cost of poor quality
• Manage commercial analysis for factored suppliers' NPI and special projects

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement or engineering, often with electronic components
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain or a related field preferred
• Experience in Asia Pacific sourcing and cross-functional collaboration preferred
• Travel of 5-10%

Required skills

• Cost analysis, contract negotiation and supplier quality management
• ERP systems such as SAP
• English and another language
