Staff Scientist, R&D

About the role

As a Staff Scientist in R&D for Greater Asia, you will be the senior scientific voice driving breakthrough injectable therapies, from GLP‑1s and biologics to next‑generation wearable injectors. You will shape regional innovation strategy, lead scientific thought leadership and partner with leading pharma and biotech innovators to bring life‑changing medicines to patients across a fast‑growing healthcare market.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the regional subject‑matter expert in injection science, drug‑device combination products, drug delivery systems and primary packaging technologies.
• Lead scientific assessments and feasibility studies for new drug‑delivery concepts and emerging technologies.
• Define and execute regional innovation strategies for biologics, biosimilars, GLP‑1 therapies, vaccines and large‑volume subcutaneous delivery.
• Partner with pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers during early‑stage development to translate needs into technical requirements and guide them through pre‑clinical to clinical phases.
• Collaborate with Technical Services, Global R&D, BDTI, Marketing and Commercial teams to align support activities and identify regional technology opportunities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in injection science, drug‑device combination product development and drug delivery system evaluation.
• Proven track record of scientific leadership, innovation strategy and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Strong ability to engage with pharma/biotech customers and translate scientific insights into actionable development plans.
