Staff Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to provide L2 production support for our core banking applications on a 24x7 basis. The role combines hands‑on technical work with problem‑solving in a fast‑paced banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver L2 production support for core banking systems, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Develop and maintain Java/J2EE applications supporting banking operations.
• Write and optimise SQL queries and Unix scripts for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Manage job scheduling, MQ configurations and C:D setups where required.
• Use ticketing and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Elasticsearch and Grafana to track incidents.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
• Document support procedures and contribute to knowledge‑base articles.
• Continuously learn and adopt new technologies relevant to banking applications.

Required profile

• Graduate in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in application support.
• Strong understanding of core banking processes is highly desirable.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and improve.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
