Strategic Communications Lead – Contract

About the role

The Strategic Communications Lead will partner with the Chief Communications Officer to design and execute high‑impact marketing and communication initiatives for a leading AI‑focused university. The role demands rapid comprehension of complex concepts, translation into clear messaging, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑moving, multi‑stakeholder environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualise, lead and manage special marketing and communication projects from inception to delivery.
• Develop project timelines, monitor deliverables and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
• Collaborate with internal branding, PR, digital marketing, content teams and external vendors to drive execution.
• Support the creation and rollout of marketing campaigns, corporate communications and brand initiatives, leveraging AI tools where appropriate.
• Maintain brand consistency across all messaging.
• Research and apply best practices in marketing and communications strategies.
• Coordinate with leadership, marketing, other departments and agencies to ensure seamless project execution.
• Report progress, risks and results to key stakeholders.
• Track and analyse KPIs, prepare impact reports and recommend data‑driven optimisations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in project management, marketing and communications.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strategic thinker with attention to day‑to‑day project details.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello).
• Experience using marketing analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
• Familiarity with design/AI tools for content creation.
