Strategic Planner – Long Term Land Use

About the role

The Strategic Planning/Planning Policies team shapes Singapore’s future by maintaining and updating the Long Term Land Use Plan. You will help translate evolving trends in transportation, housing, ageing, environment and sustainability into actionable land‑use strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strategic land‑use and infrastructure plans that guide Singapore’s physical development over the next 50 years.
• Formulate, review and refine land‑use policies and convert them into detailed planning guidelines.
• Leverage GIS to create planning‑analysis applications and visualisations.
• Conduct research on urban development, focusing on land optimisation, integration with transport and environmental considerations.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in policy research, review and formulation.
• Background in urban/regional planning, civil engineering, transport planning, environmental studies, real estate or geography.
• Strong analytical, writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• GIS (Geographic Information Systems) proficiency.
