Supplier Business Manager – Supply Chain Lead

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions for semiconductor and display manufacturing. The Supplier Business Manager will lead projects and drive tactical supply‑chain resolutions for assigned supplier sites, supporting cost, capacity and quality objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects assigned by the Supplier Account Manager (SAM) to execute the TCQC Supplier strategy.
• Drive tactical resolution of supply‑chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead‑time.
• Provide procurement escalation support for assigned supplier sites and key sub‑tiers.
• Support commercial and technical cost‑reduction programs.
• Execute supplier site capacity readiness programs.

Required profile

• Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in the discipline and basic knowledge of related areas.
• Knows best practices, market competition and how the function integrates with others.
• Acts as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and may lead small projects.
• Solves complex problems using judgment from multiple information sources.
• Impacts a range of customer, operational and project activities within broad guidelines.
• Communicates difficult information effectively and builds consensus.
