Supply Chain Engineer

About the role

KLA makes inspection tools, metrology systems and process solutions for electronics. Its Global Operations (GOPS) team, which includes Supply Chain Management, works with the global supply base and design engineering teams to build better, faster and more cost-efficient solutions. This Supply Chain Engineer role sits within GOPS and advances business priorities through high-impact work in sourcing, supplier management and program delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Handle technical sourcing, contracting and contract management, supplier relationship management and program management of technical components, subsystems and systems.
• Perform supplier process audits for manufacturing and quality excellence and cost reduction.
• Manage internal and external relationships so milestones are met, contracts are managed effectively and high-quality goods and services arrive on time at the lowest cost.
• Lead supplier business reviews and coordinate supplier engagement in technology and NPI programs.
• Drive purchase agreements, NDAs and other legal documents with suppliers.
• Lead resourcing activities to meet program timelines, cost and quality requirements, and own the SCM PLC and its deliverables.

Required profile

• Minimum of a BS degree in a technical engineering field or equivalent.
• Relevant industry experience in engineering or product development, and in manufacturing operations, supply chain or procurement.
• Able to develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business strategy, and to lead complex supplier relationships and negotiations.
• Able to develop and manage supplier business reviews and scorecards.
• Able to ensure compliance with company supply chain policies and external compliance requirements.
• Domestic and international travel may be required.

Required skills

• Solid technical, business, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Technical understanding of wafer inspection and metrology products, commodities and components.
• Understanding of suppliers' and the company's business and market trends.
