SVP / Executive Director - AI Governance for Risk Management

About the role

A multinational financial institution, recruited through Randstad Singapore, is looking for an SVP / Executive Director to lead its AI governance within the Group Risk Management function. This is an enterprise-level technical governance role focused on AI safety, platform architecture and operational resilience. You will partner with product engineering and core platform units to set technical standards, safety boundaries and defensive controls for production AI workloads across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Define concrete technical guardrails across predictive models, generative systems, knowledge retrieval pipelines and autonomous agent workflows.
• Act as a technical voice in architectural review boards, evaluating platform designs and spotting vulnerabilities before production release.
• Turn institutional risk tolerances into engineering parameters covering runtime monitoring, identity and execution privileges, output validation, telemetry feeds and boundary controls.
• Stress-test emerging paradigms such as multi-agent coordination, reasoning models and foundation model tool use against technical safety benchmarks.
• Serve as technical expert for internal governance committees, audit reviews and regulatory supervisory engagements on algorithmic accountability and system stability.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Data Science, Cyber Operations or an equivalent technical discipline; advanced degrees or technical research contributions are well regarded.
• 15 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of AI and machine learning architecture.
• Understanding of technology risk and cyber risk management principles.
