System Administrator 2 – Physical Security Systems

About the role

The Security and Electronic Systems (SES) Business Unit is looking for a System Administrator 2 to support and maintain physical security solutions such as access control, CCTV, PSIM and integrated electronic systems for federal, local and commercial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 help‑desk support and Tier 2 escalation for physical security systems.
• Manage system performance, conduct preventive maintenance, backups, error‑log reviews and database integrity checks.
• Analyze system performance data and recommend improvements.
• Resolve complex issues across access control, video surveillance and command‑and‑control networks.
• Communicate with customers, vendors and technical specialists to address service requests.
• Train end‑users and support personnel on system operation.
• Maintain detailed documentation of service requests, system performance and maintenance activities.
• Perform desktop hardware setup, OS imaging and antivirus updates.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in IT, risk management or cybersecurity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
• Reliability, punctuality and a willingness to learn.
