System Engineer

About the role

The System Engineer will work closely with the Technical Manager, Project Manager and engineering team to deliver IT and Integrated Security projects on time, within scope and budget. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, integrating and maintaining enterprise infrastructure and security systems.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects.
• Prepare technical documentation such as design documents, deployment and migration plans, user manuals and workshop presentations.
• Design, implement, integrate and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure and Integrated Security Systems (Access Control and Video Management).
• Perform system installation, configuration, testing, commissioning and User Acceptance Testing.
• Deploy, administer and support platforms including Windows Server, Linux (Ubuntu), Active Directory, WSFC, SQL Server HA, Cisco and Alcatel‑Lucent networking, Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, and endpoint security solutions.
• Conduct troubleshooting, performance optimisation and root‑cause analysis across servers, networks, databases and security platforms.

Required profile

• Proven experience in deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting and support of IT infrastructure and Integrated Security Systems.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, networking, firewalls and endpoint security.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity practices, vulnerability assessments, virtualization and high‑availability solutions is a plus.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and contribute effectively in a team.
