System Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive System Engineer to design, implement and commission new ICT infrastructure solutions while maintaining existing systems. The role involves hands‑on work with both Windows and Linux environments and requires 24/7 on‑site support for critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and deploy virtual machines in Azure Stack Hub, including NSG, load balancer, virtual images and storage.
• Install, configure and maintain Windows Server 2019/2016 environments.
• Manage Windows domain services, Group Policy Objects and OS hardening.
• Implement Microsoft Failover Clustering and Windows Remote Desktop Services architecture.
• Patch, upgrade and harden operating systems and Microsoft SQL Server 2019/2016/2017.
• Deploy and maintain Linux‑based virtual appliances and Ubuntu servers.
• Configure Commvault backup jobs and manage backup strategies.
• Design and implement network and network‑security solutions, including SSL certificates.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to system faults on a 24/7 on‑call basis.
• Document system architecture, configurations and procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with the technologies listed.
• Ability to work on‑site and provide 24/7 fault response.
• Experience in analyzing requirements and proposing system architecture solutions.
• Good documentation skills.
