System Engineer (Nutanix and Red Hat)

About the role

Assurity Trusted Solutions is seeking a System Engineer to own Day 2 operations of its hybrid infrastructure. The role focuses on keeping Nutanix hyper‑converged clusters and Red Hat Enterprise Linux platforms stable, secure and performant for critical government and commercial services.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, health‑check, tune performance and manage capacity of Nutanix HCI clusters (AOS/AHV) and RHEL environments.
• Plan and execute routine and emergency patching, kernel upgrades and firmware updates while meeting government security baselines.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and Bash scripts to automate configuration, drift remediation and routine administration.
• Act as technical escalation point for complex incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Manage, validate and test backup and disaster‑recovery procedures across production nodes.
• Collaborate with application developers, security operators and infrastructure architects to ensure changes align with operational stability.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on enterprise systems engineering, primarily in Day 2 support.
• Strong experience with Nutanix environments (AHV/ESXi, Prism Central, lifecycle management).
• Deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration, including storage (LVM), performance tuning and security hardening.
• Proven use of Ansible for automation and configuration management.
• Experience working in a highly regulated or Singapore public‑sector environment.
• Relevant certifications such as Nutanix Certified Professional or RHCSA/RHCE.
