System Engineer (Smart Lighting/Smart Metering/IoT)

About the role

We are looking for a System Engineer with 1‑3 years of experience to support the deployment, testing, commissioning and operation of smart infrastructure solutions such as smart lighting, smart metering and other IoT applications. The role combines office‑based tasks with on‑site activities, requiring hands‑on troubleshooting and close collaboration with vendors and installers.

Key responsibilities

• Support testing and commissioning of smart lighting, smart metering or similar IoT solutions.
• Assist with onboarding of field devices to backend platforms during installation.
• Perform system validation and functional testing to ensure connectivity and performance.
• Troubleshoot device connectivity, communication failures and backend integration issues.
• Provide ad‑hoc support for critical operational issues.
• Work closely with vendors, installers and internal teams to resolve deployment problems.
• Document test results, issues encountered and corrective actions taken.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Systems Engineering or related field.
• 1‑3 years of system engineering experience in smart lighting, smart metering or IoT projects.
• Hands‑on experience with testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of field devices.
• Basic understanding of IP networking and wireless communications.
• Willingness to work on‑site and respond to time‑sensitive issues.
