System Lead Engineer

About the role

Lead the design, implementation, integration, testing, commissioning, and Level‑3 maintenance of Video Surveillance Systems (VSS) and Video Analytics Systems (VAS). The role acts as the technical lead for surveillance projects, providing expert support throughout the system lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, test and commission surveillance and video‑analytics solutions (e.g., Axis, Milestones, Ipsotek, Hikvision, ANPR).
• Manage integration with command & control, security, traffic and third‑party systems.
• Deploy and optimise AI‑based video analytics, including detection, ANPR, object classification and incident monitoring.
• Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting, maintenance, technology refresh and system upgrades.
• Support tendering, develop technical proposals and engage with customers.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, quality and operational requirements.
• Mentor and guide engineers and technical teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience in surveillance, security or ICT systems, managing large‑scale projects.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• IP cameras and Video Management Systems (e.g., Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, Nx Witness).
• Video analytics, AI‑based detection, ANPR and object classification.
• Networking, servers, storage and system integration.
