sggovterp · CAA-Changi Airport Terminal 2
Job description
About the role
The System-of-Systems Integrator is a core technical role within the NexGen Programme Office, responsible for engineering the end-to-end integration of the systems that make up the Next Generation Air Navigation Services (NexGen ANS) capability. The role provides system-level technical leadership across architecture, interfaces, data exchanges, integration assurance and emergent behaviour, ensuring the integrated system meets operational, performance, resiliency and maintenance requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Define and maintain the SoS integration architecture, technical baselines and integration roadmap for multiple mission-critical ANS systems.
- Analyse system boundaries, dependencies, interface contracts, message flows, timing constraints and failure propagation paths to set integration strategies and plans.
- Evaluate integration designs, interface specifications and technical proposals for interoperability, maintainability and resilience.
- Lead technical planning and execution of incremental integration, verification and validation across laboratory, pre-operational and operational environments, including integration sequences, test configurations, fault-injection scenarios, acceptance criteria and verification matrices.
- Investigate cross-system defects using logs, traces and configuration records, perform root-cause and impact analyses, manage interface changes and configuration baselines, and close integration risks.
- Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Required profile
- Training in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
- More than 3 years of relevant experience in system engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in system integration, systems engineering and solution architecture for complex, distributed or mission-critical systems.
- Ability to interpret and challenge technical designs and facilitate trade-off discussions among technical and operational stakeholders.
- Excellent written and presentation skills, and strong interpersonal skills to drive win-win outcomes.
- Familiarity with Air Traffic Management, Communications/Navigation/Surveillance systems and aviation safety is an advantage.
Required skills
- Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle processes: requirements definition and management, architecture development, interface management, integration, verification and validation, configuration management, technical assessment and risk management.
- Experience in system integration and solution architecture.
What we offer
- Appointment designation commensurate with relevant work experience.
- A 3-year contract initially, with possible placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
