Systems Administrator II

About the role

The Systems Administrator II will provide operational support for a team that manages large‑scale building management and physical security systems. Work is ticket‑driven, requiring systematic troubleshooting and coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot server and network hardware, including fiber/optic cables and related components.
• Manage circuit move, add, change, and disconnect (MACD) orders throughout their lifecycle.
• Coordinate local vendor technicians for server, circuit, and maintenance tasks.
• Install and verify physical layer cabling according to cabling matrices.
• Provide ongoing production‑environment support and resolve issues with vendors, system owners, and operations teams.
• Track requests, generate weekly reports, and maintain documentation for each implementation.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for ad‑hoc troubleshooting.
• Maintain and improve server, circuit, and spares inventory databases.
• Create and manage colocation inbound/outbound shipments and remote‑hands requests.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in datacenter or enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices and equipment lifecycle processes.
• Ability to follow detailed Method of Procedure (MOP) documents.
