Systems Engineer – End‑User & Infrastructure Support

About the role

As a Systems Engineer at Apex Harmony Lodge you will ensure that our technology runs smoothly for all users while protecting the organisation’s critical infrastructure. You will work on a wide range of tasks from end‑user support to server administration and cybersecurity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for laptops, endpoint protection, BitLocker encryption, VPN and Microsoft 365.
• Deploy and manage Windows Server virtual machines on VMware and administer Active Directory, Exchange Online and SharePoint Online.
• Maintain Synology NAS storage, backup, disaster‑recovery and data restoration processes.
• Configure, monitor and troubleshoot Sophos Firewall, UniFi wireless networks and Aruba/HP switches.
• Perform system hardening, vulnerability assessments and apply security patches across servers, endpoints and network devices.
• Generate cybersecurity reports, analyse firewall logs and investigate security alerts.
• Maintain accurate IT documentation, network diagrams and asset inventory.
• Participate in IT projects, system enhancements and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
