Systems Engineer III

About the role

LexisNexis Risk Solutions, part of the Regulatory, Compliance and Fraud solutions business, is looking for a hands-on Systems Engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure problems and taking ownership of systems end-to-end. The role covers systems engineering, administration and operational support for enterprise infrastructure and product environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain and troubleshoot Linux, UNIX, Windows, virtualization, storage and container platforms
• Monitor systems, respond to alerts and incidents, and support incident, change and problem management
• Install, configure, patch and maintain operating systems, infrastructure and applications
• Administer VMware environments, support OpenStack migrations and maintain VMs for sandboxes and training
• Build and maintain OpenShift clusters and remediate vulnerabilities on Linux and Windows servers
• Support storage, virtualization, SQL Server and shared platforms; Oracle, IBM MQ and IBM AIX experience is advantageous
• Develop automation scripts, manage configurations and analyse system performance to improve reliability, security and scalability
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors, maintain technical documentation and take part in on-call and maintenance activities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of systems engineering, systems administration or infrastructure engineering experience
• Experience supporting enterprise Linux, UNIX and Windows environments
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills, and clear communication with engineers and stakeholders

Preferred qualifications

• VMware vSphere, OpenStack and Red Hat OpenShift administration
• Scripting and automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
• SQL Server, Oracle, IBM MQ or IBM AIX experience
• Infrastructure migration and virtualization platform support
