Tax Director – Digital Assets / Crypto / Web3

About the role

YZi Labs is seeking a senior Tax Director to lead its global tax strategy for digital‑asset and blockchain activities. This fully remote, director‑level position will shape tax planning, compliance, and risk management across multiple jurisdictions while supporting the company’s growth in crypto, Web3, and emerging digital economies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on international tax structures, cross‑border transactions, and investments with a focus on cryptocurrency and blockchain projects.
• Oversee preparation, filing, and timely submission of tax returns in all relevant jurisdictions and manage relationships with external advisors.
• Develop and maintain frameworks for tracking tax obligations related to token issuance, staking, mining, and other digital‑asset activities.
• Monitor global regulatory developments in crypto taxation and advise senior leadership on compliance and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate closely with finance, legal, and operations teams to align tax strategies with overall business objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in tax, with deep expertise in international tax law and multi‑jurisdictional compliance.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cryptocurrency, blockchain, and digital‑economy tax regulations.
• Proven ability to manage complex tax projects and lead stakeholder discussions at senior‑level.
