Teaching Associate (Biology) – A-Level

About the role

We are looking for motivated and creative Teaching Associates who are passionate about delivering small‑group, active‑learning biology lessons for A‑Level students. This role offers hands‑on teaching experience in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct engaging small‑group lessons aligned with our student‑centered, active‑learning philosophy.
• Deliver 9–12 lessons per week and provide class coverage when needed.
• Prepare and deliver lessons using provided materials while contributing creative ideas, questions, and activities.
• Participate in teaching sessions outside the tuition centre and explore alternative pedagogical approaches.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit students’ learning pace, styles, and academic needs.
• Share best practices and lesson insights with fellow tutors to support a collaborative teaching culture.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and energetic classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with students about lesson expectations and progress.
• Assist in marketing events and open houses as a company ambassador.
• Undertake ad‑hoc duties such as educational projects or events.

Required profile

• Commitment to delivering lessons in line with Pamela's Place teaching and curriculum standards.
• Strong interest in active learning, inquiry‑based teaching, and student engagement.
• Willingness to maintain a consistent weekly teaching load and provide coverage when required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, organized, and professional in managing teaching commitments.
• Open‑minded, adaptable, and receptive to new teaching methods and environments.
