Team Leader Laboratory

About the role

Eurofins Scientific, an international life sciences company offering analytical testing services, is hiring a Team Leader Laboratory in Singapore. The role coordinates the daily activities of a part of the department, acts as the first point of contact for questions and problems from the team and advises Laboratory Management.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities and supervise the execution of work, planning in the laboratory and monitoring the quality of work against departmental standards.
• Supervise compliance with safety rules and monitor the operation of equipment.
• Monitor analytical and post-analytical issues related to samples, including investigation and remediation.
• Solve complex problems and propose improvements to work processes, procedures and work regulations.
• Act as PPIC, managing and controlling business or tissue banking activities in line with MOH requirements, and liaise with MOH and CGO on regulations such as PHMC, HBR framework, biosafety and waste management.
• Be responsible for new CSV and assay validation by the team in Singapore, manage inventory including imports and import licences, and report results within the agreed turnaround time.

Required profile

• B.Sc. degree in Biomedical Sciences, Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology or equivalent.
• Minimum 8-10 years' experience in a central or clinical laboratory.
• Knowledge of ISO quality systems and willingness to follow SOPs.

Required skills

• Control of MS Office and laboratory device software.
• Use of Biorad URT or similar applications.
• Troubleshooting of assay, QC and PT failures.
