Technical Business Systems Analyst - Anti-Fraud Investigation

About the role

Hytech, a management consulting firm with offices in Australia and Singapore, is hiring a Technical Business Systems Analyst for its Anti-Fraud Investigation team. The team builds the back-office investigation ecosystem for the company's CFD brokerage, protecting it from financial crime and sophisticated fraud. The role leads the end-to-end delivery of complex investigation features, from business discovery with stakeholders to technical rollout.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex investigation features, from stakeholder discovery to technical rollout.
• Define and design client and user journeys across the platform, keeping flows intuitive and efficient.
• Proactively identify user pain points, inefficiencies and hidden risks, and propose data-driven solutions.
• Translate business intent into developer-ready specifications, including OpenAPI (Swagger) specs, JSON Schemas and UML sequence diagrams.
• Design service logic, data flows, RESTful integrations and Kafka message structures.
• Collaborate with developers on PostgreSQL database schemas for microservices.
• Act as the primary technical partner for the Data Engineering team, defining ClickHouse table and cloud storage requirements.
• Present technical designs and feature results to Company Owners and C-level stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Technical BSA experience in a high-intensity environment (FinTech, trading or high-scale e-commerce).
• Advanced English (C1 preferred) is mandatory, with comfort leading high-stakes meetings in English.
• Nice to have: anti-fraud or risk management systems experience, CFD/forex or crypto brokerage experience, and Power BI for executive data visualisation.

Required skills

• System design: synchronous and asynchronous integrations described with OpenAPI and sequence diagrams.
• PostgreSQL, with a grasp of OLTP versus OLAP and when to use the service database versus ClickHouse.
• RESTful integrations and Kafka message structures.
