Technical Delivery Manager – Group Technology

About the role

The Technical Delivery Manager will lead the successful execution and technical delivery of large‑scale banking projects, ensuring they meet scope, timeline and budget while complying with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Drive data, design and solution discussions with vendors, technology teams and user groups.
• Lead multi‑vendor teams to deliver solutions and support the bank’s commitments.
• Provide status updates to the Project Manager and partner with Solution and Enterprise Architects on technical innovations.
• Ensure solution design complies with enterprise design principles, security and control standards.
• Collaborate with Test Manager to create comprehensive system test plans aligned with project scope and quality targets.
• Identify, raise and proactively manage risks and issues, escalating when necessary.
• Manage relationships across business lines and external parties, handling escalations, expectations and scope changes.
• Organise and chair governance meetings, preparing materials and minutes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; PMP certification preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of technical management experience in banking or financial services.
• Proven experience delivering large‑scale, multi‑interface applications using full SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Self‑starter able to work independently and navigate ambiguity.
• Result‑oriented with a focus on end‑to‑end issue resolution.
