Technical Program Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead projects from conception through implementation, supporting the development of cutting‑edge equipment for semiconductor and display manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare project plans and drive projects from conception to implementation, participating in strategy and process development.
• Manage project schedules, task details, and resources using project‑management tools, reports, tracking charts, and scheduling software.
• Coordinate allocated resources across the division to meet on‑time, within‑budget objectives.
• Initiate and manage purchase requisitions and orders, and drive cost‑schedule performance for equipment worldwide.
• Participate in multifunctional design teams, providing technical input to achieve project goals.
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders to define objectives, provide status updates, and prepare for release.
• Provide engineering and business‑process expertise, identify and resolve project complications, and develop solutions.

Required profile

• Demonstrated depth of expertise in a specialized technical discipline.
• Ability to interpret business challenges and recommend best practices.
• Leadership experience managing functional teams or moderate‑complexity projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to devise innovative solutions.
• Effective communication skills for conveying complex concepts and negotiating viewpoints.
