Technical Program Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions that enable the production of advanced semiconductor and display chips. The Technical Program Manager will lead complex, cross‑functional projects from conception through implementation, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own comprehensive project plans, defining scope, schedule, resources, and milestones.
• Manage project schedules and task details using project‑management tools, tracking charts, and scheduling software.
• Coordinate capital allocation requests, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders to support project execution.
• Lead multifunctional design teams, including internal, external, and matrixed resources, to achieve program goals.
• Interface with customers to define objectives, provide status updates, and prepare for release and deployment.
• Identify and resolve program risks and complications, developing corrective solutions as needed.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise as a technical leader in a complex engineering environment.
• Strong ability to anticipate business and regulatory issues and recommend process improvements.
• Proven experience leading high‑risk, high‑complexity projects and developing execution strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and presenting complex ideas clearly.
