Technical Project Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of projects that support the design and manufacturing of semiconductor and display equipment. Based in Singapore, you will work with cross‑functional teams to ensure deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, coordinating all phases from planning through implementation.
• Track project progress using reports, charts and checklists, and drive timely completion of tasks.
• Align internal resources and manage matrixed teams to meet performance objectives.
• Monitor project costs, report financial performance to the business unit, and ensure budget compliance.
• Participate in intra‑business‑unit design teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Identify obstacles, research root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to the technical development of the team and support overall project goals.

Required profile

• Strong conceptual and practical expertise in your discipline with basic knowledge of related areas.
• Understanding of best practices and how your function integrates with others.
• Ability to act as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and lead small‑scale projects.
• Proven problem‑solving skills and sound judgment based on analysis of multiple information sources.
• Effective communication skills for explaining complex or sensitive information and building consensus.
• Preferably experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing environments.
