Technical Project/Program Manager

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a Technical Project/Program Manager to lead complex semiconductor equipment projects from concept through deployment, driving innovation and supporting global customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans and lead projects from conception through deployment.
• Manage schedules, task execution, and reporting using project management tools.
• Drive cost, schedule, and performance objectives for equipment and deliverables.
• Support cross‑functional design teams and provide technical guidance.
• Interface with engineering, operations, supply chain, and business teams to advance supply‑chain projects.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation and resolution plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in program or project management, engineering or supply‑chain management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
• Strong program‑management experience leading cross‑functional initiatives in a technical or manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with global suppliers, vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, influence and negotiation skills in a matrixed organization.

Required skills

• Project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Scheduling software and tracking dashboards.
• Knowledge of semiconductor components and related mechanical/electrical assemblies.
• Supply‑chain management and data‑analysis capabilities.
