Technical Project/Program Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Technical Project/Program Manager to lead planning, coordination, and execution of projects that deliver equipment for semiconductor and display manufacturing. The role involves close collaboration with internal functional groups and external suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery and revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare project plans and coordinate activities from planning through implementation and shipment.
• Maintain project schedules, task details, reports, tracking charts, and scheduling documentation.
• Align internal and external resources to meet on‑time delivery and revenue objectives.
• Work with internal customers across functional groups to remove obstacles and address non‑standard requirements.
• Manage Systems and/or NSOs from conception to shipment, including administrative duties.
• Interface with external suppliers, monitor progress, and report on quality and cost metrics.
• Provide after‑hours assistance when required and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expanded conceptual knowledge in the discipline with a broadening capability set.
• Understanding of key business drivers and ability to apply that knowledge to accomplish work.
• Provides informal guidance to new team members without formal supervisory responsibilities.
• Solves straightforward problems using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.
• Impacts quality of own work and that of the team while operating within guidelines and policies.
• Effectively explains complex information in straightforward situations.
