Technical Specialist (Electrical Drafting)

About the role

Surbana Jurong is looking for a Technical Specialist (M&E) to assist in preparing electrical services drawings for townships, commercial, residential and industrial developments, as well as for the upgrading of existing buildings. The role also covers preparing submission drawings for authority clearance and approval.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, designing and preparing electrical services drawings for new developments and for upgrading existing buildings, including indoor and outdoor electrical installations, underground piping systems, lightning protection systems, CCTV and other services, and single-line diagrams and schematics.
• Liaise with the engineer-in-charge and prepare submission drawings to the relevant authorities for clearance and approval.
• Prepare all electrical tender drawings in 2D and 3D format using software such as AutoCAD, ArchiCad and Revit.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 to 10 years of drafting experience in electrical building services within a consultancy firm.

Required skills

• Good knowledge and skillful use of AutoCAD, ArchiCad and Revit.
• Good understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM).
• Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications.
