Technician – Equipment Maintenance & Service

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Technician to support ongoing projects and maintain critical equipment in a hospital environment. The role involves delivering warranty, preventive maintenance, and breakdown services while ensuring compliance with local safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform warranty, preventive maintenance, and breakdown service jobs as assigned.
• Test, commission, and conduct pre‑delivery checks on equipment.
• Assemble equipment and coordinate repairs, quotations, and spare‑part supply with customers.
• Achieve a turnaround time of 4‑10 hours on‑site during office hours.
• Provide after‑hours and standby support when required.
• Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSH Act) and relevant GDPMD/ISO procedures.
• Prepare job sheets, obtain customer approval, and coordinate invoicing with the Service Operations Manager.
• Close job sheets promptly to accelerate billing and reduce inventory holding.
• Adhere to risk‑management processes and aim for zero complaints.
• Participate in training and contribute feedback for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently in a hospital setting.
• Willingness to perform duties after regular office hours, including standby rotations.
• Familiarity with local regulatory standards and ISO guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to first‑time‑right execution.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with customers and internal teams.
