Technician – GEL

About the role

Micron Technology is seeking a Technician – GEL to support R&D equipment in its engineering labs. The role involves setting up, qualifying, maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of electrical and mechanical lab instruments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform R&D equipment set‑up, qualifications, preventive maintenance and calibrations.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on lab equipment and rebuild or modify equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate records in the equipment tracking system and manage inventory controls.
• Respond to and prioritize internal and external customer requests.
• Follow safety procedures, including proper PPE, lockout/tagout and chemical safety protocols.
• Support internal and external engineering lab audits.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams for equipment modifications, upgrades and repairs.

Required profile

• Experience with electrical or mechanical troubleshooting of R&D or lab equipment.
• Ability to perform equipment qualifications, preventive maintenance and calibrations.
• Strong record‑keeping and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with safety procedures, PPE, lockout/tagout and chemical handling.
• Team‑oriented mindset and focus on customer needs.
