Technician III – Production Technical Operations (Contract)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Technician III to operate automated manufacturing equipment for contact lens production, packaging, and sterilisation at its Tuas facility. You will work on a DSM Flex line and autoclave, ensuring that products meet quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Operate one DSM Flex line together with the team to manufacture quality contact lenses.
• Run the autoclave machine for sterilising lenses.
• Perform lot changes and routine maintenance on DSM Flex lines.
• Maintain 5S standards and ensure complete batch documentation in line with procedures.
• Generate and execute at least one Kaizen improvement idea per year.

Required profile

• Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma.
• Experience in a GMP‑controlled manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour rotating shifts (monthly rotation between day and night).
• Comfortable being based at Tuas South with transport provided.
