Technology Risk Manager / Assistant Vice President

About the role

AIG's Information Technology group provides enterprise-wide IT solutions and cyber risk management and security measures for its business disciplines. This role sits in the Technology Risk and Controls (TRC) team and drives compliance with IT regulations across APAC, including assessing gaps, building action plans, running the annual IT Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and coordinating regional forums.

Key responsibilities

• Assess new and updated IT regulations for compliance gaps, draft action plans with assigned owners, obtain senior leadership approval and monitor progress, escalating issues as needed
• Handle technology and cyber regulatory inquiries and requests for information, coordinating data collection and status reporting
• Partner with IT and the global TRC team on the annual IT RCSA, assess compliance against key controls and drive the drafting of action plans
• Moderate the monthly TRC zone and country forum calls, prepare decks and updates, and follow up on post-meeting actions
• Track issues across APAC, including the risk acceptance and acknowledgement process, and assist with Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with good experience in cyber and technology risk, control and governance
• Strong problem-solving and risk skills, and understanding of cyber and IT risk principles and best practices
• Ability to oversee multiple processes, action plans and stakeholders at once, and to raise awareness of issues with key stakeholders
• Effective leadership, negotiation, collaboration and facilitation skills, and proven decision-making based on data
