Temporary Research Assistant (Part-Time)

About the role

The Institute of Mental Health (IMH) in Singapore is looking for a part-time Temporary Research Assistant within its Nursing Administration department. The role supports funded research projects by ensuring scientific rigour and operational feasibility across the study process.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate participant recruitment and data collection while monitoring response rates, and clean and code data for statistical analysis, preparing datasets and maintaining data quality standards.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews and focus groups, manage participant logistics and documentation, transcribe audio recordings and prepare transcripts for thematic and realist analysis.
• Maintain secure records of consent forms, anonymised data and audit trails, and assist with progress reports, research logs and ethics compliance documentation.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders on access, scheduling and venue/IT setup, and support preparation of study materials.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, psychology, public health or a related discipline.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Understanding of research ethics and confidentiality requirements.
• Experience with qualitative research methods preferred; familiarity with statistical software is advantageous.
