Tender/Bids Manager, Construction

About the role

The Tender/Bids Manager will lead business development efforts within the ground engineering and geotechnical construction sector. You will be responsible for securing new projects that meet sales and profitability targets while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Drive new business by identifying and securing clients and projects in the ground engineering/geotechnical space.
• Build market intelligence, monitor competitive landscape and nurture client relationships.
• Review tender proposals with the bid team and act as Bid Manager for large‑scale projects.
• Lead negotiations on bid and contract terms, guiding the tender and business development team to achieve collective targets.
• Collaborate across departments to uphold the company’s brand, corporate image and market reputation.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related studies.
• 5–7 years of experience in Tender/Bids Management within contractor or specialist construction trades or the environment sector.
• Proven ability to manage large‑scale geotechnical or ground engineering bids.
