Test Engineer – 4‑Month Contract (Bank)

About the role

We are looking for a Test Engineer to join a banking client on a 4‑month contract. You will be responsible for ensuring software quality through comprehensive testing activities and leveraging AI‑assisted tools to improve efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Write, prepare and execute test cases, and create test data.
• Leverage in‑house GenAI tools for test case generation, enrichment and optimisation.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate software against requirements and specifications.
• Identify, report and track software defects and issues.
• Perform functional, performance, security and regression testing.
• Report test results and defects to development teams and stakeholders, supporting their resolution.
• Provide feedback to improve the overall software development quality process.
• Stay updated with the latest testing tools, techniques and methodologies.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in software testing, quality assurance or related roles.
• Experience in test case design, execution, defect management and reporting.
• Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Exposure to AI‑assisted or GenAI‑enabled testing solutions is a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
