Threat Intelligence Analyst

About the role

This Threat Intelligence Analyst position sits within the Connectivity, Cybersecurity & Resilience Group (C2R) of SGG, which strengthens the cybersecurity and resilience of Singapore's telecommunication and media sectors. You will work with a team of analysts to keep situational awareness of threat groups and produce timely, accurate cyber intelligence for stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Recommend and review intelligence requirements and collection sources, and research cyber threats to telecom and media infrastructure to recommend mitigations and threat signatures.
• Produce cyber intelligence products and briefings, including ad-hoc threat reports, monthly threat trends and annual threat landscape reports.
• Support incident investigations, risk assessments, malware analysis and cyber exercises using MITRE ATT&CK tactics, indicators of compromise and recommended mitigations.
• Document and update processes and improve threat detection, including threat detection queries in Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems.

Required profile

• Degree in Information Security, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent, with 3 to 5 years or more of experience as a Threat Intelligence Analyst.
• Experience preparing and presenting threat briefings to senior management, operations and customer stakeholders.
• Experience publishing threat research and writing incident or threat assessment reports with MITRE ATT&CK and recommended mitigations.
• Knowledge of telecommunications, broadcast and media equipment and enterprise environments.
• Relevant certifications such as CREST CCTIM, CRTIA, CPTIA, GIAC GCFA, GREM, GCFE or GCIH are highly regarded.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Threat Intelligence Platforms and their integration with security solutions.
• Network traffic/log analysis, computer/mobile forensics or malware analysis.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux security, cloud architecture or application security.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
