Traffic Operator Executive – Intelligent Transport Systems

About the role

Join a future‑ready Traffic Operations Command Centre where you will monitor and manage real‑time traffic incidents using cutting‑edge Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and AI tools. The role blends frontline incident handling with cross‑team collaboration to improve operational efficiency through data‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor live traffic incidents via ITS platforms, sensors and video analytics.
• Detect, flag and promptly escalate incidents, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Identify traffic anomalies or trends using AI and video analytics tools.
• Coordinate response efforts with internal stakeholders and government agencies.
• Implement and support contingency plans during incidents.
• Collaborate with data and system teams to enhance dashboard visualisations and automate workflow logic.
• Refine trigger points for alerts and escalation protocols based on data insights.
• Participate in contingency exercises and conduct After Action Reviews (AARs) to boost readiness.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in any discipline, preferably IT, systems, engineering or operations.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Technologically inclined team‑player with strong situational awareness.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure in real‑time scenarios.
• Analytical mindset with curiosity to improve workflows.
• Prior experience in a command centre or similar real‑time operational environment is advantageous.
