Transfer Agency Consultant

About the role

Northern Trust is hiring a Transfer Agency Consultant in Singapore, reporting to the Investor Service Manager. The role ensures that clients and investors receive excellent service in all communications, supporting multiple clients, funds and underlying investors through timely information delivery and issue resolution across several channels.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality client experiences by owning resolution of investor and client inquiries and handling issues quickly and efficiently.
• Monitor progress and keep regular, timely and accurate communication with all stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies and industry best practices, and follow controls to mitigate operational risk.
• Keep documents up to date, accurate, correctly formatted and version controlled, ready for audit, regulatory, compliance and risk reviews.
• Contribute to process improvements, support workflow automation initiatives and help streamline investor services operations.
• Take part in training programmes and workshops to build team competence in investor services processes, systems and regulations.
• Collaborate with relationship management, client services, operations, compliance and technology teams to meet client needs and improve processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field (preferred).
• Fluency in English and Mandarin, Cantonese or Japanese, spoken and written.
• Previous experience in investor services or transfer agency operations, preferably 3-5 years.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of client service delivery, regulations and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office and transfer agency/investor services platforms preferred.
