Tunnel Manager

About the role

The Tunnel Manager will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and supervisors to ensure safe and efficient tunnelling operations across Singapore. This senior position oversees the planning, execution, and monitoring of TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) activities, aligning them with project schedules and technical specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead engineers and supervisors in daily tunnelling activities.
• Carry out TBM MMP to verify that detailed drawings meet required specifications.
• Monitor site progress, manpower mobilization, and equipment deployment.
• Plan, control, manage, and coordinate TBM tunnelling operations.
• Review geotechnical data and proactively plan tunnelling works to maintain smooth progress.
• Evaluate work procedures and method statements for TBM projects.
• Coordinate construction activities with TBM manufacturers and contractors according to schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing TBM operations in varied ground conditions.
• Proven experience in detailed design, selection, and evaluation of tunnelling methods, including curve‑jacking.
• Strong ability to work independently, assertively, and proactively within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with BIM software.
