Vascular Surgery Consultant (Associate, Consultant or Senior)

About the role

SingHealth's Department of General Surgery is recruiting proactive, driven individuals to join its multidisciplinary team providing day-to-day patient care. The role covers diagnosing, treating and caring for patients with vascular conditions, including peripheral vascular disease, aortic disease, venous disease and carotid stenosis, as well as vascular trauma and renal access.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat and provide comprehensive care for patients with vascular conditions and vascular trauma
• Manage vascular trauma and renal access, and take part in the Diabetic Foot Ulcer Multidisciplinary Team
• Perform daily ward work and manage clinic and medical consultations
• Work on call in line with hospital operational requirements
• Take on clinical, education, research and administration duties, including mentoring junior doctors, scholarly activities and non-clinical administrative tasks

Required profile

• Basic medical degree and a postgraduate qualification registrable with the Singapore Medical Council
• Active clinical practice
• Prior experience in an acute hospital setting
• Ability to work independently with demonstrated competence in managing patients
• Confident, proactive and an effective team player
